 TPT (Tennis Performance Training)

Drilling and Stroke production:

At Sylvano's tennis Academy we do hundreds of different variety of feeding and live hittings drills. Our drills are moderns and are made to maximise the improvemnt of every student strokes. Our goal is to develope junior tennis players into college and Pro players.
Allow players to repeat s stroke so often that a comfort level develops. Under pressure, in a match or tournament, the student will realize he/she has hit the stroke a thousand times in a practice.

Some of the drills we us at the academy are: Wide groundstroke drills, forehand/backhand balls deep crosscourt, transition drills, over heads, solid backhand, variety of specialty shots; angle shots, dropt shots, slices and many more drills a student needs to be a competitive player.

  FTP (Fit Performance Training)

Strength, Footwork and Conditioning:

Medicine Balls exercises are used as part of our tennis training program to develop explosive movements. Medicine ball training is appropriate for all levels. Standing torso twist, vertical extensions, chest push are some of the examples.

Agility Ladder is the most efficient way to generate speed. Being able to move quickly in response to your opponents shot is a skill that can be developed using an agility ladder. Advancing sideways Shuffle, Back pedaling, sideways shuffle are some the examples.

Kettlebells are weights we use to create explosive power. Tennis players need strong legs, hip and core to load, coil and uncoil into the shot. Kettlebell Swing, lift, snatch are some of the examples.

Court Sprints are the most effective footwork. Tennis players must be quick on their feet, have explosive movements, be able to change direction quickly and stay balanced. High-Knee skips, butt Kicks, giant steps, line hops are some of the examples.
Strength Training is very important to prevent injuries. In addition to all exercises mentioned above there are many other tools we use at the academy. Resistance bands, balance discs, balance boards, jump ropes are some of the examples.

  CPT (Competitive Performance training)

Strategy, Tactic and Match play:

A tennis player with a strategy during a match gives you more confidence in times of pressure.
Learning to adapt your strategy to a wide variety of opponents is one of the keys to success and becoming a tough competitor.
With point play and match play the student learns how to compete in a point situation and how to construct points.
The strategies that he/she develops will enable the student to win in a tournament or college match because he/she has played enough point situations to be familiar with any situation.
This will enable the student to get out there, win and gain more confidence to improve to higher levels in the tennis area.

MPT (Mental Performance Training)

Mental Toughness:

We build and train students to have a positive attitude, dedication, high self esteem and confidence

When player is uninspired the coach encourages and motivates by using words to toughen up mentally.
A player should be ready not only physically but mentally in order to win the game. The coach also throughout the game speaks to the player to build mental toughness and avoid being discouraged at anytime.

We emphasize on having the right attitude and confidence so the player will not lose a match because of negative emotion and poor attitude. Student will develop confidence to execute smart strategies and tactics.
