Sylvano Tennis Academy Ethics
SYLVANO TENNIS ACADEMY
STUDENT CODE OF ETHICS
Sylvano Tennis Academy requires and expects a high level of moral conduct from their students. Any student violating a code of ethic will be subject to disciplinary action from running laps, suspension from clinics, and up to expulsion. Disciplinary action will be determined by the Head Coach, Academy Director, and Team Captains. Please review the following rules carefully:
- No deception. Do not lie during matches, practice, or tournaments when you are a Sylvano Tennis Academy student. If you wish to lie about points, practices, or anything else, this is not the academy for you.
- No disrespectful speech. Do not degrade other people by using profanity, racial slurs, or other crude speech. Use your common sense and discretion.
- No violence. Do not throw rackets, do not hit other students or people in general, and do not threaten anyone with any sort of violence.
- No cheating. Do not cheat during practice; it is pointless because it will be detrimental to your progress. Honesty is a derivative of honor, we expect you to behave accordingly.
- No drugs, alcohol, or smoking. Drugs include all recreational drugs and abuse of any substance. This includes performance enhancers. Do not provide anyone with any substances, do not take any substances, and do not encourage anyone to take any substances. If you are caught involved with any of the aforementioned items, you will be expelled.
- No harassment. Do not harass members of the opposite sex or of the same sex.
- Behave with dignity and sportsmanship at all times.
If there are any questions, concerns, or issues of sensitive nature, students are urged to discuss any matter with a staff member, team captain, or even via email. Your safety and well being is our top priority. We expect our students to develop into responsible, respectful, and dignified individuals as well as top players. Listed below is some contact information if you should feel the need to discuss anything. All matters will be dealt with the utmost discretion and sensitivity.
