Letter From Sylvano

Letter From Sylvano 2008

Dear Parents and Students:

The academy had a great summer program this year! Over 80 students participated in the summer camps. Former ATP player Anthony Dupuis came to the academy for 10 days this summer to train our students as a guest coach. It was excellent to have him here because he shared his knowledge and experience as to how he became top 50 in the world. Sylvano Tennis Academy is hoping to schedule more training sessions with Anthony throughout the year.

We have several academy students going off to college this year: Stace Klinger will attend UC Santa Barbara, Jennifer Kung and Tiffany Nguyen will attend the University of Chicago, and Courtney Chen will attend Carnegie Mellon University. We are proud of their achievements and I am very proud of their results at the academy.

Turnout for our Red & White matches have been good this summer. We encourage students to continue participating throughout the rest of the year. Great job to all the students that came out and trained hard during the all day sessions this summer! I would also like to thank our coaches who did a wonderful job and the students who inspire us to take them to the next level.

I look forward the fall session as we get prepared for the upcoming tournaments and a new school year with the academy.

Sincerely,

Sylvano Simone
Head Coach
